Vegan Pizza and Ronalds (yes again Ronalds)

When you are vegan, there are some things you think you will give up...  some you are just fine with, you want to give up.... but then there are things like Donuts... we can't go to the corner donut store and have coffee and donuts..... There are a few around town that offer a vegan donut on certain days, or certain times, and thats ok if you need a fix. Yes I said fix.... because who doesn't want a fresh sweet chocolate or maple soft donut. This is where Ronalds comes in.  I don't even remember who first told me about this magical place, but I am so thankful they did. I guaratee you ask most Vegans out here, you mentioned Ronalds and they know exactly what you are talking about. I even read about Ronalds in Saveur Magazine America's Best Donuts article.  Click here to see the note. Everyone now knows the magic is there.

Anyway someone (Katey) from Facebook mentioned she was going to Las Vegas, did anyone want her to bring any donuts back. Well this particular thread was one of the longest threads in our group..... It brings people out of the woodwork I tell ya. So it started and she ended up bringing 4 dozen back. There is a vegan pizza place so close to her work that we decided to meet and have pizza and donuts. That is what I call a Sunday Fun Night =)

The gang all sugared up from donuts =)

Doterra Oils how you've helped us

I kept hearing about how great doterra oils were, from other moms. I am a skeptic , I really am.
However my son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) a few years back. He would have tantrums, some hitting in frustration, screaming... it was exhausting for everyone. I felt so bad for him, so I did some research on the wonder oils... All the research came out positive. I am sort of anti medicine unless its needed (i.e migraines) So I knew I didn't want to give him any medicine at such a young age so I thought ...and thought and decided WHY NOT... I talked to a wonderful person I have known since I was pregnant with Logan, Amanda, she is where I learned the most from the oils. She personally used the oils on her family and has had great results. I started out with the
Family Physician® Kit.  Includes 5 ml bottles of Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Melaleuca, Oregano, Frankincense, Deep Blue®, Breathe, DigestZen®, and On Guard.
We also ordered Intune which helps him focus

We used lavendar and noticed he slept better.
The Intune is applied to the back of his neck to so he can focus in school.
The Breathe is to help my husband sleep..ok it helps me sleep better since he doesn't snore as much as before....
Frankincense is like a wonder oil. Seems to help with his moods... Almost a year later we are loving these even more.... Oregano oil a natural antibiotic... OnGuard helps keep the sickness away. I have to say with Oregan oil and OnGuard we have drastically reduced the number of colds this year. I suggest anyone curious to look at the website and see what oils can do for you...

Beet Tartare

I think one thing happened when I became Vegan...I started to cook more... I started following a lot of blogs and seeing what they were creating... Some are so very talented... and most of them so nice and answer questions... One of my favorite blogs is Choosing Raw... I think Gena is such a sweet person, no I've never met her, but I love her posts.... I think she writes from the heart and her creations always look so good. So when she recreated a dish she had in Portland... with beets and cashew cheese... I had to make it. It was so easy. Now mine did not come out looking as nice as hers, but man was it delicious

Recipe can be found here....

Fresh Roma Tomatoes, Daiya Cheese, Pineapple, Jalapenos, Olives..and they deliver..say WHAT..Yes its that good... well not for my waistline... but we love it...

They also offer GLUTEN FREE options if needed

Tacos Cancun... Vegan Nachos and Horchata..yes please

OK I like Mexican Food, because here is another post about nachos and more.... I was recently told about this place from an OC blogger. The Spooky Vegan I am so glad she mentioned this place.... I really like it. Vegan Horchata, who knew I could enjoy this drink again...YUM... Best Vegan Nachos..the cheese so creamy, their salsas are so good and spicy... and they are not too far from my house...that could be for me to pass by them on my way home and not stop.

Take a look at their menu with Vegan Choices
                                                                       Tacos Cancun

Best Tacos are here in the OC

Many Many times I have been to Avanti Cafe.... We usually end up ordering their tacos... they are so crispy and flavorful how could you not... I sometimes venture out to other items, but my husband 99% of the time orders these. My sister who is moving to Mexico soon loves them and that says a lot since she has had her share of good Mexican cuisine. You can choose to add bbq tempeh or not...My husband always does... However I like them pure... They come with three different salsas... all spicy in their own way.
